Nu-i de mirare că, în zilele noastre, multe planuri sau vise se destramă şi, în majoritatea cazurilor, nu poţi vorbi despre o viaţă victorioasă. Mulţi se arată sceptici, obosiţi sub povara lor, şi spun că o viaţă victorioasă este un concept demodat, e un stil de viaţă ideal, dar imposibil.

Motivul este că astăzi, mai mult ca oricând, asistăm la o lipsă de dedicare în domeniile fundamentale ale vieţii. Aceasta conduce, fără îndoială, la lipsa de încredere, ceea ce produce inevitabil neplăcere, opusul delectării. Într-o asemenea situaţie nici nu poţi vorbi despre odihnă.
